In the UK we are joining the celebrations this week of International Biodanza Day 2024.
These celebrations are taking place worldwide. The tradition is to commemorate this occasion worldwide with the track ‘What a Wonderful World’ which has been recorded by many artists. Recently we were reminded of this when our lovely colleague Olga started a class with an opening circle to ‘What a Wonderful World’ by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole.
And of course, we often dance to original and wonderful Louis Armstrong’s rendition. And later on in class we often mellowed down with Eva Cassidy’s version in a swaying circle of friendships. And maybe like me, you are a fan of the Borsch TV series and have spotted the Mark Knoffler and Chris Botti’s take on ‘What a Wonderful World’ and of course, there is the jazz lovers’ version by Jon Batiste, (sadly neither of those versions work for Biodanza). Yes, what a great song and so many many versions to listen too, indeed, what a wonderful world we live in.
If you would like to experience this wonderful world, why not join the Biodanza Skillshare project’s highly recommended International Day of Biodanza 2024 event

The Wonderful World of Biodanza!
Biodanza workshops and longer events, usually start with a sharing circle. We began by talking about how the Biodanza system brings out our best, integrating and strengthening our values, self-worth and identity. People shared their wisdom and experiences speaking personally, straight from their hearts. This is how the Biocentric Principle is present even before we start dancing.
The feedback recently gathered confirms the wonder of Biodanza and how it brings greater connection to everyday life. Here are what some people have said:-
‘Integration is the key. The body has its own wisdom, the connection is flowing – you can connect with strangers and friends in the same affectionate way’
‘I’ve done Biodanza for over twenty years and it’s a great source of connection, love, fun and personal growth. Biodanza has made me a different person and it’s the biggest support in my life’.
‘I was lucky to dance Biodanza with Rolando Toro when there was a Congress in London. There were over 200 people there and it’s still a highlight of my life! I like the fact that every dance is led and you trust the teacher to be led through this beautiful journey…’
‘I trust the process. When I feel sad, Biodanza is a great source of connection with your soul and goodness and I always leave the class feeling much happier.’
However you celebrate, we wish you to enjoy this wonderful world, and not just on International Biodanza day!
